I first started shooting at the age of 14 as an Air Cadet in Trent Wing ATC. Clay Target Shooting was introduced in 2012 and at the age of 17 I participated in the (CCRS) National Inter-Service Cadet Shotgun competition and came away with a Gold medal in Down the Line and represented the Air Training Corps in the Inter-Service Flush. In the 2013 National Inter-Service Cadet Shotgun competition I was part of the 4 cadet overall winning team. As a team we also took Gold for the best team in Down the Line and Silver for Sporting. I have been receiving English Skeet lessons from Dave Beardsmore at Doveridge shooting ground for just over two years and in 2014 I won a number of major Championships at Junior level and also gained my first England cap and was English Junior High Gun at the Home International held in Southern Ireland. I will continue to be coached by Dave Beardsmore for English Skeet as I start my first year in the Senior category. I was successful in being selected in Target Tokyo which was a talent finding programme for shooters with Olympic Medal potential. I was offered a place on the GB Talent pathway, with a view to progressing to the GB Academy in September of this year. I am currently being trained by John Bellamy (one of the Great Britain Olympic Double Trap coaches) who will be coaching me at both the Beverley and Nuthampstead Shooting Grounds. Part of this training involves shooting alongside current GB Double Trap team members in both senior and junior categories. I will continue to shoot English Skeet where possible but will be concentrating primarily on Double Trap. Media Coverage: I have had media coverage in the PULL magazine and Clay Shooting magazine for all of the listed English Skeet events of 2014 and copies of the relevant pages are available should you require them. I was also a finalist for Lincolnshire Sportsman of the year 2014, which was held at Lincolnshire Showground on Thu 6th November 2014. Lincolnshire Sports media have been very supportive and there is a video on You Tube of my nomination. To achieve my goals I will need sponsorship to help meet the ever increasing training costs. I therefore ask that you look favourably upon my CV and commitment to the future to succeed.
